The program notes that this is a change to to bin file and the Binary File and Write/Download to Hardware buttons turn red showing that you should save the bin file and download it to the tweecer. On the functions tab you use the pull down menu to graph the "Air - MAF Transfer". Now that a new MAF curve was saved it is on to BE. I exported this file with a name that noted it was fitted. This gave new Volt/Flow values without the bump. I left all of the default settings and clicked on "Fit Data". I saw the graph had a bit of a hump in it so I went on to MAF fitting. I choose the new set to save and used a name that referenced the old and new MAF files. It prompts you for a file name and which set of Volts/Flow you want to flow.
I exported the file by clicking on the button under import which should be labeled export. I clicked "Calculate" and beheld the New Volt/New Flow values being filled in and a new graph was shown. New Volt/New Flow is what is calculated when "Calculate" is clicked on. TransferVolt2/Flow2 is not really necessary but is a second MAF curve for comparison but it is not used in any calculation. It happened to already been saved as "Default" which I originally downloaded from the EEC) You can export the file then import it back into EA as Volt1/Flow1. The Volts/Flow were then shown in the BE Functions Tab with the pull down menu heading of Air - MAF. (I did not assume what was there but actually downloaded the bin file from the tweecer.
Volt1/Flow1 are the values that MUST BE the same as the ones that were in the tweecer when you datalogged. On the MAF tab there are 3 value sets for the MAF. This provides the data for MAF Calculate. This is how it worked with EA: You open the data log on the Data Log tab. The parts did not settle down the A/F log so I went on to the MAF curve. I had to get some parts so on the way to the store I data logged the necessary stuff to work on an updated MAF curve (MAFV, LAMBSE1, LAMBSE2, KAMRF1, KAMRF2, RPM, VBAT). I started today trying to settle down the A/F data log. I reset this scalar (VEVPHL) in the Scalar tab in BE to not give a fault unless the voltage exceeds 5.1199, which it won't. This caused an information fault (code 34) because the voltage exceeded the default of 0.67 volts. This allows me to log directly through the EEC using the EGR sensor. I did this by cutting the wire to the resistor that fakes the EEC into thinking I have a EGR sensor and soldering the O2 signal line in. I have wired my wideband O2 sensor into pin #27 with a small capacitor wired to ground. This allows me to switch between any setting and the car will still run well. I downloaded the default settings from the EEC and then loaded them into each of the 4 tweecer positions.
It took me a few minutes to figure out why it didn't work. I tried to load the data in the tweecer off position. You need to make sure you load the datalog payload to one of the tweecer "on" positions.
